Vintage postcards - Winter scenes

Having posted the majority, if not all of my vintage Christmas postcards and cards as part of my vintage postcard advent calendar, I have decided to break with the Christmas posts for a while but keep firmly in winter. The 3 vintage postcards below are all lovely winter scenes, but other than that I know very little about them. The 2nd and 3rd are both panel cards published by C.W.Faulkner, with the 3rd having the artist initials of J.W.G or possibly J.M.G ... anyone know who that might be?

As usual, 100's more vintage postcards on my web site

  1. I get cold just looking at them. We had a big snow here last weekend followed by cold weather, so I know what it feels like.

  5. Great cards, especially the one with the horse.
We've more snow forecast tonight and tomorrow to go with temperatures way below freezing. This is our worst winter for at least 40 years. I'll settle just for the snow on the cards.

  6. It actually snowed yesterday... in ROME!!! That's twice in one year!
    As to J.W.G. - I believe that's James Walter Gozzard (1888-1950)

  8. The bottom one is absolutely stunning, and I wish I could tell you who the artist was, but can't.
