Sepia Saturday 182 - Summer Solstice

After doing a quick search for milk, dairy and horse in my postcard list, I found this one below which not only fitted in, admittedly rather loosely, with the theme of horses for this week's Sepia Saturday, but also fits in nicely with the fact that today is the Summer Solstice, and people are congregating around Stonehenge, about 30 miles or so from where we live.

And of course, having posted one picture of Stonehenge I thought I should share a second as well to keep it company.

  3. Nice postcards. Having visited Stonehenge, I was rather underwhelmed with their size, compared with what I was expecting. These postcards, like many commercial photos of the site, make them look very impressive, which they are, of course.

  4. Very clever lateral thinking :)

One day I shall get to Stonehenge.

  5. Tricky, very tricky. But it's good to exercise the mind by thinking 'outside the box' once in a while! And I have always been interested in Stonehenge & all the other circular stone structures in England, Scotland, & Ireland. Can't remember if they exist in Wales as well? Maybe one day I'll get a chance to see some of them - Stonehenge included.

  6. Great take on the theme, Boo! Brett says they're smaller than they look? I've never been. No matter: big or small, it must be amazing to see.
