I always think that whilst Cambridge might win on looks, Oxford wins on atmosphere.Alan Burnetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01015127443616786425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4410643854313079157.post-73228110100824857042010-08-15T16:14:25.976+01:002010-08-15T16:14:25.976+01:00It is such a classic historic area. These look very 1930s. We'd be hard-pressed to find scenes like these in the U.S. You don't mention what years they were taken but I'm guessing early 1900s. No cars. Anyway, I'm surprised at how many and how close the buildings are in the first photograph. I like them all but I especially like the 3rd photo with the arches/reflections that make circles, the man standing in his little boat, the fence on the left and the tower/building on the upper right. Just wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing these. Maybe some year in my life I will get to see these places in person.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12136584654825212359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4410643854313079157.post-34351488084546783992010-08-14T13:43:16.247+01:002010-08-14T13:43:16.247+01:00beautiful collection!!

Haven't been to Oxford since the late 90s, when I attended a seminar there. Both lovely places but, Oxford is spellbinding.Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13494219959077922220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4410643854313079157.post-67211827564268492522010-08-13T17:11:56.227+01:002010-08-13T17:11:56.227+01:00That last card is simply stunning.
